What Trusted Tutors is

Trusted Tutors is an independent tutor directory that helps parents and students find and contact independent tutors. We are not a tutoring agency, and we do not employ tutors, set their availability, or control how they plan or deliver lessons. Trusted Tutors is operated by Peter Hinett as a sole trader. Our contact address is support@trustedtutors.co.uk. [OUTSTANDING: a geographical business correspondence address is legally required for a UK trader dealing with consumers and must be added here once confirmed — not a home address, and not an invented one.]

Independent tutors

Every tutor listed on this site operates independently. Tutors are responsible for their own teaching services, lesson arrangements, pricing, cancellation terms and professional conduct. Any agreement to arrange or deliver lessons is made directly between the parent/student and the tutor — Trusted Tutors is not a party to that agreement.

Verification

Some tutors carry verification badges. See our Verification Policy for exactly what each badge does and doesn't confirm. Verification is not a guarantee of a tutor's suitability, and does not transfer any liability for a tutor's conduct to Trusted Tutors.

Parents and students

We encourage you to review a tutor's profile carefully, ask questions directly, and satisfy yourself that a tutor is suitable for your individual requirements — including for younger or vulnerable students — before arranging lessons.

Membership & payment

Tutors may list for free or upgrade to a paid Plus membership (currently £29.99/year) for additional profile features. Paid membership never affects, and is never a substitute for, verification status. Full detail on features, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds is set out in our Tutor Membership Terms.
