What Trusted Tutors is
Trusted Tutors is an independent tutor directory that helps parents and students find and contact independent tutors. We are not a tutoring agency, and we do not employ tutors, set their availability, or control how they plan or deliver lessons. Trusted Tutors is operated by Peter Hinett, trading as Trusted Tutors, as a sole trader.

Independent tutors
Every tutor listed on this site operates independently. Tutors are responsible for their own teaching services, lesson arrangements, pricing, cancellation terms and professional conduct. Any agreement to arrange or deliver lessons is made directly between the parent/student and the tutor — Trusted Tutors is not a party to that agreement.
Verification
Some tutors carry verification badges. See our Verification Policy for exactly what each badge does and doesn't confirm. Verification is not a guarantee of a tutor's suitability, and does not transfer any liability for a tutor's conduct to Trusted Tutors.
Parents and students
We encourage you to review a tutor's profile carefully, ask questions directly, and satisfy yourself that a tutor is suitable for your individual requirements — including for younger or vulnerable students — before arranging lessons.
Membership & payment
Tutors may list for free or upgrade to a paid Plus membership (currently £29.99/year) for additional profile features. Paid membership never affects, and is never a substitute for, verification status. Trusted Tutors does not charge any commission on lessons, or any fee for parents or students sending an enquiry to a tutor — Plus membership is the only payment tutors make to us. Tutoring arrangements and complaints
Because lessons are arranged and paid for directly between a parent/student and a tutor, ordinary disputes about lesson quality, pricing, cancellations or lesson refunds are a matter between the parent and the tutor — Trusted Tutors is not a party to that arrangement and does not promise to mediate or resolve disputes of this kind. What Trusted Tutors can receive reports about, at support@trustedtutors.co.uk, is: a problem with our own website, a listing you believe is inaccurate or misleading, suspected misuse of the site, or a serious safety or safeguarding concern about a tutor. See our Safeguarding and Reporting Concerns Policy for how we handle a report of that kind, including how quickly we aim to respond.
