About Trusted Tutors
Every parent looking for a tutor runs into the same wall. One site lists tutors but hides their price until you register. Another shows glowing reviews with no way to tell if they're genuine. A third makes you scroll past a dozen unqualified profiles before finding someone who actually teaches your child's exam board. There isn't one website that fits every family, and most of them are built to keep you clicking rather than to help you decide quickly. Trusted Tutors exists to close that gap: free to search, honest about price and verification from the first click, and built so you can make contact directly rather than being funnelled through a sign-up form first.
Why I built this
I'm the founder of Trusted Tutors. I've spent over 17 years teaching Business and Computing in UK secondary schools and colleges across the West Midlands and Worcestershire.
I've also worked as an examiner for OCR and Pearson, which gave me a close-up view of exactly where students lose marks and what separates a good explanation from a great one. I've tutored internationally through Wolsey Hall Oxford, working with home-educated students across Europe and the Middle East, and I've written a BTEC textbook and contributed to OCR course development along the way.
Running my own tutoring practice, PH Tutoring, put me on the other side of the search too, as a tutor trying to be found, and talking to parents who'd already been through two or three directories before they got to me.
The same frustrations came up constantly: no clear pricing, no way to check whether "verified" actually meant anything, and no simple way to just message a tutor and ask a question. Trusted Tutors is my attempt to build the site I wished existed, for parents trying to find the right tutor, and for tutors who deserve a fairer, more transparent way to be found.

Free listing for every tutor, with an optional low-cost Plus tier for those who want extra features. Unlike many platforms, we never take a commission on your lesson earnings.
