Tutor Membership Terms
Who this applies to
These terms apply to any tutor listed on Trusted Tutors, whether on Free or Plus membership, in addition to our general Terms of Use. Trusted Tutors is operated by [PLACEHOLDER: legal name of the sole trader operating Trusted Tutors], trading as "Trusted Tutors", as a sole trader — a separate business from PH Tutoring Ltd. Tutors are independent and are not employed by, or agents of, Trusted Tutors.
Free membership
Free membership costs £0 and includes a public profile with photo, biography, qualifications, subjects, levels and hourly price, plus the ability to receive parent enquiries. Free membership has no fixed term and can be requested to be removed by the tutor at any time by contacting us.
Plus membership
Plus membership currently costs £29.99 per year and includes everything in Free membership, plus: an introductory video on your profile, the ability to collect and display reviews through Trusted Tutors, the ability to display attributed reviews from other platforms, free resources you can share with students, the ability to add your website and social media links, and an enhanced profile layout. Plus membership does not include, and never automatically grants, any verification badge — see our Verification Policy for how verification actually works.
How payment currently works
Trusted Tutors does not currently take payment automatically or operate a self-service subscription system. Instead, after a tutor's application is reviewed and their identity, DBS and qualifications are checked on a short video call, interested tutors who choose Plus membership are sent a payment link or invoice manually by our team. Plus features are only activated once that payment has actually been received — selecting "Plus" on the application form does not, by itself, activate any Plus feature. We do not currently use Stripe or any other automated payment processor, and this page will be updated if that changes.
Renewal
Plus membership is billed annually. Cancellation
A tutor may cancel Plus membership at any time by contacting us via the Contact page. Refunds
